We are each called to a place of flying freely in the
truth, grace and poise of who we are. Often layers of
illusions, false hopes and learned fears hinder that
freedom of flight and blind us to the truth.
In this image the brilliant and iridescent colors of the
dragonfly are mirrored in the obsidian waters of the
souls space into which we must dive if we are to know
that freedom. In these deep places we come face to face
with the truth of who we are and what we know. As the
illusions fall away, we experience the paradox of dying
and rising, and as we let go, we hear the invitation to
enjoy the freedom of living in our truth with grace and poise.

The paradox of transformation is the paradox of
death/resurrection, a time of dying to what was, as we move
into what will be. It's a strange mix of color and darkness, of
both knowing and not knowing.
This somewhat abstract image reflects on the leap we take
into the mystery of our own tansformative journeys. Here
we face the changes and sometimes the death of our hopes,
our dreams, our bodies and our relationships. As we stand in
these times of change, we simply ask to be faithful and to
trust in a loving God who can truly make all things new.

There are times in our lives when our spirit simply
wants to scream out the truth. We long for the courage
to release the cries of our soul as we are confronted
with the mysteries of living and loving, of letting go
and moving on. We dare to speak out loud the long
held secrets of our soul rather than allow them to
continue to ferment within. It is in giving them a voice
that we come to know the quieter, simpler places that
have always been beneath the scream.

We have each been faced with the mystery and paradox
of letting go. How hard it is to enter that vulnerable
space of permitting ourselves to feel the naked
aloneness and trust that there is a Loving God amid this
dark confusion. We sometimes gingerly lean into that
space as we slowly hand over our hearts to a
compassionate Presence who know our deepest fears
and emptiness. At times of loss and letting go we ask
only to lean into Love and trust that the emptiness will
make way for fullness.

At times we try desperately to hide what we perceive as
inadequacy. We cloak ourselves with efforts to please,
produce and perform, hoping that will be enough. We
cling to the covers of power or proficiency to avoid
disclosing our vulnerability. In the noise and panic we
can miss hearing the call of our own heart, and the
invitation deep within to come home to ourselves and
to that sometimes forgotten place of being held by an
unconditionally loving God. Here we are gently
encouraged to remove the masks behind which we've
hidden and stand without shame in the truth of who we
are. The long held lies of not having enough or not
being enough fall aside when we stand in the presence of unbounded love. In the letting
go, we come home to the abundance which we have always really had.

This image is a reflection on times of waiting when we
must simply BE in our unknowing as we wait to know.
It is a time of asking for what we need, trusting that,
even as we wait, it is given. These times demand a
naked vulnerability and a discipline of patience as we
await inspiration, insight or clarity. The paradox of the
image is that in what is often perceived as apparent
inactivity, there is generative process.

Often on our journey through life finds us
walking into the unknown. These times of
passage through the unfolding of our living
and dying, find us seeking courage and
hope. In our doubting and despair, often to
our surprise, we remain in the constant
company of a companion who never leaves
us. This image reflects a wordless awe that
one senses on the edge of this passage between now and not yet. The mystery is Sacred,
as is the Companion. Time seems fluid here, and darkness, soft. Someday we will know
what supports us in this time of walking into mystery. For now, we are called to
surrender to the journey and trust that the Companion speaks the answers in the
wordless spaces of our heart.

While descending into the Carlsbad
Caverns of New Mexico, a rock seems to
give form to a cloaked woman who stands
silently amid a circle of stones. The soft
form in a solid rock appears to embody the
maternal presence of the Divine Feminine
in this heart and womb of the earth. She
abides in the quiet darkness as a companion
and guardian as we descend into the deep chambered caves of our being and knowing.
Her presence gives voice to a gentle reminder that all will be well.
